Vitae Pharmaceuticals is a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company building a portfolio of novel, small molecule, best-in-class compounds that address large market opportunities, including chronic kidney disease, diabetes, atherosclerosis and Alzheimer's disease.
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, this individual will lead and manage the intellectual property function, including strategic oversight of a broad existing patent portfolio. He/she will draft, file and prosecute, and manage all external patent counsels She/he will also develop and manage the overall strategic planning of the patent portfolio. Candidate will also provide strong transactional support for licensing and other contractual agreements, including drafting and negotiating these agreements which are integral to the success of the company. • 3-5 years intellectual property private practice experience with a respected law firm. • Experience as a senior in-house IP attorney in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry • BS/MS/PhD in life sciences and JD.
